Week 33

Hazelnuts collected in low-altitude areas gradually began to reach the free market.

These days, when prices are starting to take shape, there are concerns about the quality of the product that will come to the market. The weather in Turkey has not been favorable for drying hazelnuts so far, which could influence quality. The poor product quality may lead to a decrease in Ferrero’s willingness to buy and lower prices in the free market. However, this factor may vary depending on how long the product will last in the market for the farmers who are not satisfied with the announced prices.

The fact that Ferrero, who will have the last word under these variables, has not yet announced the prices, causes concern in the free market.

We’ll wait and see.
